I was born in 1952 in Boston, Massachusetts. After receiving a B.A. in Fine Arts at Hampshire College in Massachusetts, I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1977. There I met Andrew Davis who is an artist and a poet. We have lived together since 1980 and have three children together: Teresa (b. 1985), Anna (b.1988) and Benjamin (b. 1995). After getting my M.A. in art therapy, I worked in that field until juggling motherhood with the demands of my studio took over. Over the course of the many years raising a family, my paintings became gradually three-dimensional until a point at which I stopped painting and started to make sculpture. More recently after completing a few very large sculptural pieces, I returned to painting.
Since 1993 we have been spending regular periods of time in a small village of northern Spain where I maintain a second studio.
The work has been shown in Galleries and Museums in New Mexico, Massachusetts and Spain.
